Just listened to this for the first time & I'm blown away by this collection. Memorials' sound references their many influences: Avant-Garde, synthpop, & cinematic composition. I was especially moved by the upbeat dance tracks & the ethereal moments à la the second part of Electrelane's "Blue Straggler." For a collection of "other" material, it felt like a proper album in its own right. I can only imagine what kind of mystery awaits me on the double album. Bravo Verity & Matthew! 🌷🦋🤟🏻
